Here's another recipe that I kinda cobbled together from various recipes I'd seen in the past.
Preheat your oven to 350. Cut each apple in half vertically then hollow out the core. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg and then top with a heaping spoonful of brown sugar. Bake until the brown sugar has melted into a liquid and the apples are soft when you poke them with a fork.
This is technically just a baked apple recipe but for some reason when I made these tonight the liquid that gathers in the center of the apple tasted vaguely like alcohol. These go particularly well with chai tea. Dylan recommends something creamy like vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. I like them as is.
